Supporting teachers, school leaders and other teaching professions
Tackling learning disadvantage, early school leaving and low proficiency in basic skills
Inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport
IA-ME directly supports the teachers providing them with the professional skills to improve their competence in class with students with special educational needs (SEN). This priority will be addressed through a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), providing teachers with an innovative tool based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) paradigm, enable to efficiently automatize assessing, monitoring and planning processes to foster inclusive education.
In addition, the project also addresses the priority of tackling learning disadvantages, by ensuring equal learning opportunities for all students, particularly those with SEN. Therefore, the project also focuses on the horizontal priority of “inclusion and diversity”, as it has significant fall-outs for students with learning difficulties, by encouraging the use of more inclusive and personalised educational practices and methodologies to foster learning, communication, socialization and autonomous abilities.

Objectives

To increase school institutions awareness about the most inclusive technologies to be applied in inclusive education

To provide teachers with evidence-based digital tools to facilitate and normalize the inclusion of SEN students

To increase teachers’ professional skills in taking on students with SEN
